BRITAIN’S FOOD
ACTION TO INCREASE HOME PRODUCTION ANNOUNCED BY MINISTER ,OF AGRICULTURE. SHIPPING SPACE NEEDED FOR WAR MATERIAL. Britain's decision to increase the home production of food in order to make more shipping space available for imports of war material was announced in the House of Commons by the Minister of Agriculture, Mr Hudson, the 8.8. C. reports. He stated that fixed prices and assured markets would be guaranteed, not only for the duration of the war, but for at least a year afterwards.
