HOT CHEESE SCONES

DELICIOUS FOR LUNCHEON. Sift together 11 level cups plain flour, 1 cup fine wheatmeal, 4 level teaspoon baking powder. Rub 2 level tablespoons butter very lightly, then add 1 cup grated cheese. Add the yolk of an egg to about :l cup milk and form into a light dough. Press out to about 1 inch thick on a lightly-floured board with the hand, cut into shapes, and bake on a lightly greased and floured baking tray in a hot oven for about 1C minutes.
