GLADSTONE GATHERING
IN HONOUR OF SOLDIERS AND NURSE. TO BE HELD TONIGHT. A dance in honour of the Gladstone, Longbush and Te Whiti members of the Fourth Reinforcements and Nurse K. Palmer, who is on the nursing staff of the reinforcements, will be held tonight in the Gladstone Hall. The function, which is sure to be largely attended, is a tribute by the settlers of the districts concerned to the splendid action of the soldiers and nurse in answering their country’s call. The secretary, Mr E. B. Booth,, has all the arrangements complete, and in his hands it should be one of the most successful gatherings ever re- 1 corded in the district. Mr Booth is assisted by a capable committee, and as the floor is in good order and first class music will be supplied, those present should spend an enjoyable time.
