0 RESOLUTION OF LOYALTY. SYMPATHY WITH PEOPLE OF HOMELAND. / A motion of loyalty to God, and allegiance to the Throne and sympathy with the Methodist churches and congregations of the Homeland suffering from the ravages of war was carried on Wednesday last by the Wellington District Methodist Synod sitting in Levin. The resolution which was moved by the Rev. R. B. Gosnell (Thorndon). was as follows: —“That this Synod, as representing the Methodist Church of New Zealand in the Wellington District. desires to express its loyalty to Almighty God, and its allegience to the Throne and person of King George VI. Further, we extend our sympathy to the Methodist churches and congregations of the Homeland, suffering as they are from the ravages of war, and pray that they may be Divinely sustained during this time of their trial.”
