PRESSURE ON YUGOSLAVIA ACCOMPANYING THREAT TO GREECE. POSITION OF BULGARIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright! LONDON. November 24. The German Foreign Office's official journal. “Diplomatische Korrespondenz,” referring to General Metaxas's statement that the Greeks were fighting not only for themselves but for other small peoples, issued a warning that such declarations were extraordinarily daring and dangerous, and that General Metaxas thereby confessed, himself the tool of British policy for extending the war. This is the first open intimation that Germany intends to take action in the i war against Greece. The Ankara correspondent of “The, Times." discussing Bulgaria's future.) says Hitler is believed to have hinted) to King Boris that the time was opportune for Bulgarian action to realise) her territorial claims and to have: pointed out the advantages of a Ger-’ man alliance. King Boris is reported; to have given assurances of Bulgaria's! pro-Axis sympathies, but added that) small, weak countries could not risk) involvement in battles between giants.) The "Daily Telegraph's" Belgrade correspondent says the former Bulgar-') ian Premier. M. Mushanov. answering' a statement by the Government spokesman. M. Doumanov. in Parliament that Bulgaria claims frontier revisions at the expense of Yugoslavia' and Greece, accused the Government) of not consulting Parliament and the) people. He added: "I demand to know) If Bulgaria is for peace. 1 say the I people are for peace.” There is indignation at the Bulgarian claims on Yugoslav Macedonia. It is alleged that M. Doumanov is an agent provocateur seeking to embroil Yugoslavia with Germany.
