EKETAHUNA
THE DAIRY INDUSTRY T'UGILGRADD BUTTER. ("Times-Age” Special.) The heavy growth of grass in the district has been responsible for an increased supply of mill: to the factories. Reports indicate that the season should be a successful one, and as far as Eketahuna is concerned, a high-class factory articles is being manufactured. The local company has put Eketahuna on the map from a butter production point of view, and there should be an era of renewed prosperity ahead of the district. Pig Breeding. The importance of pig breeding to the district is being increasingly demonstrated by the returns received by these farmers who have taken up the rearing of pigs. Messrs A. Golder and R. Farrow have given careful attention to breeding cf pigs, and have in consequence, set an example that is worthy of emulation by other farmers. It is contended that the pig gives a bigger revenue return than any other animal on the farm, and the "pay cheques” provide evidence in a considerable number of cases of the correctness of this contention. Those who fail to make a success of pig breeding have adopted wrong methods in connection therewith.
