GREEKS THIRTY MILES BEYOND KORITZA ITALIAN DIVISION BROKEN UP. THREE OTHERS BEING PURSUED. The Greek troops which captured Koritza have now pushed on 30 miles beyond that town, the 8.8. C. reports. One entire Italian division are said to have been broken up in disorder, while three further divisions are scattered and are being chased by cavalry. The arrival is reported at a Greek port of some of the famous ships of the British Navy, with New Zealand troops and airmen for the defence and maintenance of British air bases in Greece. An Italian communique says: “On the Greek front, the enemy tried in vain to impede Italian manoeuvres, which are developing according to plan. “Enemy planes at night attacked Turin and Liguria. There were no victims and no damage was done. The enemy bombed Tobruk and Bardia.” GREEK VALOUR MR CHURCHILL’S PRAISE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 12.15 p.m.) RUGBY, November 24. Mr Churchill sent the following telegram to General Metaxas: “Heartfelt congratulations on the great Greek victories on the Albanian front, culminating in the capture of Koritza. We are all inspired by this feat of Greek valour against an enemy so superior in numbers and equipment. This recalls the classic age.”
