LATE LORD CRAIGAVON

VISITED MASTERTON SOME YEARS AGO. The Prime Minister of Northern Ireland (Lord Craigavon) whose death is reported today, paid a brief visit to Masterton about eleven years ago and was the guest of Mr and Mrs Guy Williams, Te Parae. Lord Craigavon addressed the Masterton Rotary Club, taking as his subject Northern Ireland. Ho suggested on that occasion that the growing of linen flax might be undertaken in this country.
