Won All the Way. The principal race at the Levin meeting, was won all the way by the Taranaki representative, Rollicker. Beginning well, he ran to the front on the rails early, and from that stage on he was always doing it too well for his opponents. Aurora’s Star, with the run of the race in behind him all the way, put in her claim in the straight, but she never made any impression, and finally had second prize taken off her on the post by the stronger finishing Dark Eagle. Charing Cross was well up for fourth, but the others were never dangerous, and the favourite, Meamea, never got into the picture from the back.
