BOMBER DESTROYED
OVER BRITAIN ON THURSDAY. R.A.F. FIGHTER & PILOT LOST. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 1.15 p.m.) RUGBY, November 21. One enemy bomber was destroyed and one R.A.F. fighter was lost in Thursday’s air battles in Britain. The communique containing this announcement states: “A few enemy aircraft approached Britain during daylight today. Bombs were dropped at some places in East Anglia and the Home counties and in a town in Southern England. “According to reports so far received, the damage caused was not extensive. Casualties, though not numerous, included a small number of persons killed.”
