Frost in Masterton.
Though there is a considerable coating of snow on the Tararuas only one degree of frost was registered in Masterton this morning. Home Guard Enrolments.
Mr G. T. O'Hara Smith, Town Clerk, of Masterton, stated this morning that enrolment forms for the Home Guard have been received and are now available at the Borough Offices. Street Trees.
Residents reporting damage to street trees as the result, of storms or from other causes are requested to communicate with Mr J. Lawson, secretary of the Masterton Beautifying Society, ’phone 2482. and not with the Masterton Borough Council. Tennis Tournament.
The tournament to be held in Masterton by the United Lawn Tennis Club during the weekend, the draw lor which appeared in yesterday’s "TimesAge" will start at 1.30 o’clock on Saturday, November 23. and will be continued on November 24, and November 25. Any person not able to play at the starting time is asked to communicate with Mr J. C. Corbishley (secretary), nt the Masterton Courthouse.
