BUILDING IN AUSTRALIA
RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED. IN ORDER TO CONSERVE MATERIALS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, November 18. The Federal Treasurer, Mr Fadden, announced that persons desiring to erect buildings costing more than £5OOO or carrying out impovements to buildings beyond a cost of £5OOO must obtain his consent. He said the Government’s aim was to conserve supplies of steel and copper and other vital war materials.
