FURTHER BRITISH SUCCESS IN SUDAN ITALIANS SUFFER HEAVY LOSSES. NO CHANGE ON MAIN FRONTS. A Cairo communique states. the 8.8. C. reports, that troops operating in the Gallabat area inflicted heavy losses on the Italians at little cost to themselves. Patrol activity continues in the Kassala area. An unchanged position is reported in Egypt, Kenya and Palestine. Royal Air Force bombers attacked Benghazi, on the Libyan coast. Two enemy machines on the ground were destroyed. Attacks were also made on Tobruk, where fires were started on the foreshore. Other raids were made in Italian East Africa.
