Close of Centennial. With the outbreak of war just over 14 months ago, a curtailment, in New Zealand's Centennial celebrations was inevitable. But for the war these would have continued in one form or another till next Saturday, November IG, which is the one-hundredth anniversary of the separation of New Zealand from New South Wales. The dale will not go by quite unmarked. Flags tire to be flown on till post offices and public buildings and a final Sentennial message will be given to the people of New Zealand by the Government.
