WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING AT TIRAUMEA. BEST BLOOM COMPETITION. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Tiraumea branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union. The president, Mrs A. C. P. Hay, was in the chair. After the business of the meeting had been completed, afternoon tea was served by Mrs Lindergreen and Miss R. Jewitt, who were the hostesses. The competition for “the best bloom in your garden’’ was won by Miss Grace Harman, with a large Iceland poppy. The “wandering shilling” was won by Miss Jean Hart. The meeting was brought to a close with the singing of the New Zealand National Anthem.
