MASTERTON CATTLE FAIR. A KEEN DEMAND. The Associated Auctioneers report having held a very successful cattle I fair yesterday when 2000 head of sta--1 tion cattle came forward. As the result of the beneficial rain the previous week there was a keen demand for all classes of cattle, particularly females. Most of the cattle were purchased by local buyers, and although there was a good representation of outside buyers they were only able to operate on a small scale. Practically the whole yarding was sold at auction and the following will give an indication of prices received: — Fat cattle: —Fat bullocks, £ll 165.; 'fat heifers. £8 2s. 6d„ £8 155., to £9 17s. 6d.; fat dairy cows, £4 18s. to £6 2s. 6d.; fat station cows. £7 55.. £8 to £8 17s. 6d.
