ESCAPE FROM ATTACK ON CONVOY OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT IN WELLINGTON. MESSAGE FROM THE HIGH COMMISSIONER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) has been advised by the High Commissioner (Mr. W. J. Jordan) that among the ships which escaped from the recent attack on a convoy in the Atlantic was the S.S. Rangitiki. An official announcement to this effect was made today.
