RIVERSIDE CLUB LADIES’ COMPETITIONS. LIST OF WINNERS. During the year the ladies carry out a programme of matches, played on Thursday afternoons, and the closing of the competitions took place this week, when a medal round of nine holes was won by Mrs Gilliland. Approach and putt competition was won by Mrs Hayne. Afternoon tea was partaken of by those present, and Miss R. Bradley, ladies’ captain, thanked Mrs Palamontain for the work she had done as lady secretary during the year. Mrs Palamontain received a small token in appreciation of her services. Miss Bradley presented the prizes won in Thursday competitions as follows: —First and fourth medal, and fourth bogey rounds, Mrs Pool. Second medal round, Mrs Jones. Third medal round, Mrs Palamontain. First and third bogey, and second flag round, Mrs Rawlins. First flag round, Miss James. Second bogey round. Mrs Gilliland. Hidden hole competition, Mrs Skeet. Fifth bogey round, Mrs Rawlins and Mrs Clarke tied. Fifth medal and sixth bogey round, Mrs Clarke. Stableford round. Mrs Connell. The eclectic ringer for the year, Mrs Rawlins. Mrs Palamontain's trophy for sealed nett score. Mrs Clarke. Mrs Rawlins’ trophy for Stableford aggregate, Mrs Skeet. Mrs Skeet’s trophy for medal aggregate, Mrs Clarke.

GOLF FILMS. Golfers are advised that a screen ing of world famous players will be given in the Municipal Social Hall on Monday at 8 p.m. These films which are being shown under the auspices of the New Zealand Golf Association include six reels of sound film of Johnny Farrell, the well known American professional. and also a silent film of Bobby Locke. These two golfers are acknowledged io have the most perfect styles of any players in the game today and local enthusiasts should not miss the opportunity of seeing these outstanding players in action. Admission will be free.
