Girls’ Club Revue. On Wednesday and Thursday, Npvember 19 and 20. the Carterton Girls Club will present one of their excellent entertainments. This year it will take the form of a revue, and should be well up to the high standard of previous concerts given by the club. The girls are donating half their profits to the £1,000,000 “Heart to Heart Appeal. The programme is divided into three parts, a group of single items, including “Nursie Nursie” as a song and dance. The Sorensen sisters will provide a topical hit on Hitler. Sketches, etc., form the first part of the programme. The second scene is where two New Zealand Diggers find themselves in an Egyptian harem. Besides being spectacular, this should be very humorous as well. The final scene is arranged as a “wayside inn.” Travellers arrive, including a golfer and his caddy, four Tyrolean dancers, who later “Roll Out the Barrel.” The waitresses and page boys tap dance, etc. The programme should provide very interesting entertainment. The box plan will open at Mr Wilf. Harry’s shop on Monday.
