MINE DISASTER VICTIMS
FUNERALS AT GREYMOUTH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GREYMOUTH, November 8. The funerals of the five victims of the Ten Mile mine disaster took place at Karoro Cemetery, Greymouth, this afternoon, being attended by 3000 mourners from all parts of the West Coast, making the largest cortege seen in the district for a decade. The Minister of Mines, Mr. Webb, represented the Government, and Messrs. O'Brien, M.P., and Ryal, M.L.C , were among the mourners. Mr. Kaye and his son were buried together in one grave, and the other victims were buried separately. Several hundred wreaths were placed on the graves. Among messages of sympathy received was one from the Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser. The condition of the injured men, Messrs. Boote and Burnett, continues to show improvement. Both are out of danger.
