YOUNG MAN FINED. OFFENCE COMMITTED IN WELLINGTON. A young man, 22 years of age, who recently arrived from Wellington, appeared before Messrs. A. D. Low, and H. E. Pither, J.’sP. in the Masterton Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon charged with having stolen two postal notes valued at 225. 6d., at Wellington, in June. The accused was arrested in Masterton yesterday afternoon by DetectiveSergeant W. Kane and Constable A. W. Nalder. A fine of £5 was imposed and an order for the restitution of the amount was made. Owing to the accused's age and the fact that it was his first offence, his name was ordered to be suppressed.
