WOOL DISPOSAL

FIRST APPRAISEMENT IN WELLINGTON AN ATTRACTIVE DISPLAY. BETTER PRICES FOR SKIRTED CLIPS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Wellington Wool Brokers’ Association reports that the first Wellington appraisement, completed yesterday, covered 6,004 bales. The bulk was hogget wool, which opened for display attractively. Clips from the Manawatu were exceptionally well grown. It is noticeable that wools that are skirted are realising better prices. Unskirted are definitely on a lower basis than that of last season, and now growers are receiving full compensation for paying every attention to the get-up of clips. Brokers’ detailed reports on Wairarapa realisations appear on Page 7.
