V.R.C, MEETING PROTEST AGAINST MACROB • DISMISSED. ACCEPTORS FOR FISHER PLATE. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. A protest against Macrob, winner of the Veteran Stakes at the V.R.C. meeting yesterday was dismissed. L. Meenan, who had a fall when riding Mamillius in a hurdle race, has been removed to hospital with head injuries and probable fracture of the base of his skull. Acceptors for the C. B. Fisher Plate are:-— Maikai, Historian. Beaulivro, High Caste. Reading. Beau Vite, and Dashing Cavalier.
