GREYTOWN

RED CROSS SOCIETY HOME NURSING RESULTS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Greytown branch of the New Zealand Red Cross Society has received the results of the Home Nursing examinations. The whole 15 candidates who sat passed with honours as follows: Intermediate Home Nursing: Misses E. Gregor, B. Gregor, B. Shedden, M. Keltic, Mesdames E. Maddison, O. Robinson, K. Everett, S. Kempton, D. M,. Jury. Junior Home Nursing: Misses B. Bennett, N. Corley; M. Gates, M. Harding, V. Taylor and Mrs R. Bell. THE LATE MR T. ORR FUNERAL YESTERDAY. The long line of cars at his funeral yesterday bore testimony to the high esteem in which the late Mr Thomas Orr was held. The Rev. H. Bloomfield conducted the service at the Presbyterian Church and also at the graveside. The pall-bearers were: Messrs J. F. Thompson, C. J. Nix, G. Te Whaiti, 11. W. Feast, J. C. Feast, M. Gray, F. C. Bunny, and J. A. Young, of Auckland. The Returned Soldiers formed a guard of honour and the coffin was draped with the Union Jack. Mr J. W. Herod spoke at the graveside on behalf of the returned soldiers. Among the many beautiful floral tributes were wreaths from the Ashhurst Rifle Club, Manawatu Rifle Club, Mangapakeha teachers and scholars, Carterton National Party, Greytown National Party, executive committee of the National Party and the Greytown Presbyterian Ladies’ Guild, Swimming Club. The annual meeting of the Greytown Swimming Club which was to have been held last evening was only attended by three persons, and has been postponed till Monday next. Personal. Mr and Mrs W. Rusbridge, of Wel-j lington, are on a visit to Greytown. Mr J. C. Skeet, of Masterton, is the guest of Mr W. H. Day, McMaster Street.
