DISPUTE AT FACTORY
EMPLOYEES CEASE WORK. TROUBLE OVER DISMISSAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. Factory hands employed at the Petone works of W. D. and H. O. Wills (New Zealand), Limited, tobacco manufacturers and merchants, ceased work yesterday morning. It is understood that a dispute arose from a dismissal at the factory. The stoppage is stated to have affected certain workers only: office staff and some other departments were not affected. The management of the company yesterday declined to make any statement as to the position.
