BRITISH HOME GUARD
COMMISSIONS FOR OFFICERS GENERAL COMMAND OF TROOPS. IN EVENT OF EMERGENCY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) LONDON, November 6. It was announced in the House of Commons that commissions are being granted to Home Guard officers enabling them te command all troops in any locality in the event of an emergency. Rifles, automatic rifles, machine-guns and grenades representing full armament for a million men will shortly be available to the Home Guard.
