SHORTAGE OF WATER
$ RIGID ECONOMY IMPOSED IN SYDNEY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, November 6. The Metropolitan Water Board today imposed further restrictions on the use of water for suburban gardens. It was decreed that watering cans may be used only between 6 and 8 a.m. and 5 and 8 p.m. Officials of the water board are continually reminding citizens of the necessity for rigid economy because of the grave danger of the reservoirs giving out late next year if appreciable rain does not fall in the catchment area.
