Australia’s most famous cricketer. Don Bradman, has joined the* army with the rank of lieutenant. He enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force several months ago, and has been waiting a call-up, doing preliminary training in the meantime. The Royal Australian Air Force has now granted him a discharge to enable him to join the Australian Imperial Force and do a special course of physical and recreational training. After that, Bradman will become an instructor. Within six months, it is expected, he will be appointed to the Australian Imperial Force in the Middle East, probably as a divisional supervisor of physical and recreational training. ,
