PURCHASE FOR NATIONAL SERVICE. URGENT APPEAL MADE BY GOVERNMENT. Attention is directed to a Government advertisement in these columns inviting from owners of motor-vehicles information concerning sound trucks of lOcwt. to 40cwt. capacity, and also of motor-cars and motor-cycles which may, if required, be immediately transferred to the Government for purposes of National Defence and Army training. In addition to particulars regarding availability, the Government requires information of owners’ willingness to sell or hire their vehicles. Urgency is the keynote of the appeal.
