An extensive and complex depression covers New Zealand and the eastern Tasman sea, lowest pressures being to the south-east. Forecast: Moderate to strong winds from a westerly quarter. Weather fair in the east; cloudy and unsettled in the west, with occasional showers. Moderate temperatures.
