CHOICE PLANTS
A USEFUL HINT. When spraying choice plants against pests many home gardeners find that the fluid disfigures some of the more delicate blooms. A method of protection is to obtain a supply of cellophane, slip a piece over the 1 bloom and twist beneath the flower. This ensures complete protection for the blooms while spraying is in progress. The cellophane wrappers will also prevent roses with thin petals from falling during wet weather. As enthusiasts know, even a light shower of rain will often spoil the blooms.
