FOURTEEN CHARGES
ALLEGED ARSON & THEFT BROUGHT AGAINST WOMAN. PROCEEDINGS AT NELSON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NELSON, This Day. As a sequel to the fires in a hotel in. Nelson on the night of October 21, when the Governor-General was a guest and also to recent fires at the Royal Hotel, Palmerston North, the Nurses’ Home at Pukeora Sanatorium, Waipukurau, and a dwelling at Ponsonby, Auckland, fourteen charges of arson and attempted arson and one of theft were brought against Monica Edna Cann, aged 28, in the Magistrate’s Court. (Proceeding).
