WOMEN BUS CONDUCTORS
APPEARANCE IN CENTRAL LONDON. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 4. The first women conductors have appeared in Central London's buses. They comprise 100 graduates of the Transport Board's schools who will now undergo a week of practical instruction before taking over their duties. They will work during raids and at nights on the same basis as men. Another .140 are graduating immediately.
