GUY FAWKE’S APPEAL

COLLECTION FOR PATRIOTIC FUND. LEAD AT LANSDOWNE SCHOOL. The familiar appeal of “a penny for the guy” will have a deeper significance on November 5 this year as far as the pupils of Lansdowne School are concerned. As a voluntary patriotic gesture the pupils have decided to give their collections on Tuesday morning ,to the Junior Red Cross Fund, as part of a donation by the combined Lansdowne School circles to the Provincial Patriotic appeal. The matter is being taken up by other schools, but nothing definite has been arranged and up to the present, Lansdowne is the only school which has made a decision in the matter. It is anticipated, however, that other school children may follow suit.
