TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD
ENJOYABLE GARDEN FETE. On Wednesday last a most enjoyable garden fete was held by members of the Garden Circle in the lovely grounds of Mrs Gaskin’s home, Colombo Road, when a large number of Townswomen's Guild members and friends were present and assisted to make the function a success. The time passed very pleasantly with various competitions and in walking through the spacious garden. Afternoon tea was served in the open, and the fete concluded with the presentation of prizes won by the following: Naming flowers, Miss Perry; croquet, Mrs Dagg; .step the chain, Mrs Hunter; cake, Mrs Copp; obstacle race, Mrs Diggle.
