PATROL CLASH
4 ITALIAN PARTY AMBUSHED IN SUDAN. LOSS OF MEN & VEHICLES. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.35 a.m.) RUGBY, October 31. A Cairo communique states: “There is nothing to report in Egypt, Kenya or Palestine. Our fighting patrols were again active in the Kassala area, in the Sudan, on October 27 and 28. A party of the enemy was successfully ambushed, leaving fifteen dead and six prisoners, while two mechanical transport vehicles were destroyed. Our casualties were nil.’’
