LIQUID MILK
INCREASED CONSUMPTION IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 30. Consumption of liquid milk in Britain is running about 14 per cent, above pre-war level. This is a notable increase in time of war, and is of considerable significance for public health. It is accounted for largely by greater quantities being drunk by children and nursing mothers under the encouragement of Food Ministry schemes. Liquid milk sales are about 80,000,000 gallons a month.
