The small electric-light bulbs used in the side, tail, and roof-lamps of most motor-cars are reported to be in particularly short supply in Auckland, and already some retailers have exhausted their stocks. One firm which was carrying a large supply of Britishmade lamps reported last week that it. had sold several thousand in recent, months, and the demand was showing no sign of declining. At the same time it was pointed out that the shortage should not extend over a long period, as the manufacture of bulbs for motor vehicles was to be undertaken in New Zealand.
