The weather was fine for training this morning, but the tracks were soft as the result of overnight rain. At Caulfield, on the course proper. Beau Vite, moving freely, ran seven furlongs in 1.29. the first four in 501. High Caste beat Gold Salute over seven furlongs in 1.30, the first four taking 50';. Historian ran an easy six furlongs in 1.161. Tidal Wave and Gladynev moved freely over six furlongs. covered in 1.17. This time was equalled by Maikai and Remarc, who finished together.
Bankshaw accounted for six furlongs in 1.16:;. He went well over the first half mile, run in 491. Wilson beat John Dory over seven furlongs in 1.31. Pandect ran comfortably alongside Darkfelt over seven in 1.301. Apostrophe held Indignity safely in a tenfurlong gallop run in 2.15.1. With the flags 45 feet out at Mentone, True Flight ran six furlongs in 1.21:1. He looks very fit. Cheery Jack accounted for 12 furlongs in 2.54. Panka took 1.16 for an excellent sixfurlong gallop. Pantier covered the same distance in 1.181. Lucrative ran a mile comfortably in 1.59. At Epsom, Dollar Bill beat Session over six furlongs in 1.171. Session disappointed. Industry went a comfortable nine furlongs in 2.81. On the course proper at Flemington, with the flags 18 feet out, Beaulivre was most impressive over 10 furlongs in 2.11. He looks improved since his Caulfield Cup win. Gilltown ran a smart 10 in 2.14:;. St Constant, beat Tel Asur over six in 1.18. Waxwings was responsible for a brilliant four furlongs run in 491. Katanga and Old Rowley were together over a mile, covered in 1.46. Dashing Cavalier beat Mohican over six furlongs in 1.18.
