GOLD MINING
COMPANY RETURNS. Gold Dawn Gold Mines, Ltd., report for the week ended October 26: No. S level, No. 1 winze on No. 5 reef has been sunk five feet, total 101 feet. The hangingwall portion of the reef here averages two feet six inches wide, and is a solid body of stone. The footwall portion of the reef taken out averages two feet wide, but is still very mixed with mullock. Bulolo Gold Dredging, Limited, reports that for September the total gross production amounted to 22,574 ounces of bullion, containing 15,575 ounces of fine gold, from 1,790,000 cubic yards. Estimated working profit, 7407 ounces fine gold. The Paddy’s Point return was 350 z. for 38 days.
