ST. MATTHEW’S GIRLS’ CLUB

ANNUAL CONCERT. EXCELLENT PRESENTATION OF COMEDY. The annual concert of St. Matthew s Girls' Club presented in the Parish Hall last night was a great success, and fully appreciated by a large audience. The club presented the original three-act musical comedy "Once Aboard the Lugger” in delightful fashion, full advantage being taken of tho bright and amusing situations. Every member gave an excellent interpretation of her part and the musical numbers were finely rendered. This year's concert will hold its place as cne of the best ever presented by these talented girls. They certainly deserved the congratulations extended to then' and to the producers last night by the Ven. Archdeacon E. J. Rich, who spoke at the end of the performance. Beautiful bouquets were presented by the club to Mesdamcs V. W. Joblir ,’n'l E. L. Rich, the producers. The following girls took part in the cast:—Captain Murgatroid. , Miss J. Purcell: Charles (pirate), Miss M. Fulton: Bill (pirate), Miss J. Whiting: Sir F ercival Oddboddikins, Miss C. Lambert; Elizabeth (his daughter). Miss E. Thomas: Letitia (his daughter). Miss B. Judd: William (footman). Miss J. Brisco: Fanny (maid). Miss E. Brogden: Mine Host, Mrs E. J. Rich; Waitresses Misses J. McMinn and M. Burton; Fisher Girl (Barbara), Miss F. Youngquest; Ben. Dick, and Harry (pirates). Misses B. Cardno, J. Mansen, and C. Walker; first Sailor. Miss J. Fulton: second Sailor, Miss G. Bubbers; third Sailor, Miss R. Brogden.
