347-DAY VOYAGE—Three hundred and forty-seven days out of Falmouth, England, the Rev. John Antle, aboard his forty-foot auxiliary yawl Reverie, arrived at San Diego. The 75-year-old skipper was virtually penniless when he arrived. He said he had passed two German submarines off Funchal, Madeira, and that he was left with only two shillings after paying Mexican customs authorities at Acapulco.
