Japanese bombers on Sunday mach-ine-gunned a passenger train on the Yunnan-Indo-China railway, near Kunming. There were many foreign passengers, including women and children, evacuating from Kunming, but there were no casualties. Four bombers in th eforenoon bombed north-eastern suburb. There were at least 10 civilian casualties. Simultaneously 35 bombers raided the Burma highway.
