SARCASM IN NORWAY

NOT RELISHED BY NAZIS OSLO PAPER SUSPENDED. FOR REFERENCES TO MISUSE OF ROYAL BOX. (By Telegraph —Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 1 p.m.) STOCKHOLM, October 27. The “Tidens Tegn.” the largest morning newspaper in Oslo, has been suspended because it sarcastically commented upon the occupancy of the Royal Box at the Municipal Theatre. The audience a few nights ago saw a man and woman in the Royal Box and shouted protests, whereupon the couple withdrew.

The “Tidens Tegn,” referring to the incident, said the box now apparently belonged to foreigners, “and is now available to anyone who can afford to pay an adequate subscription.”
