WAIRARAPA SHOW

ENTRIES WELL MAINTAINED COMPARISON WITH LAST YEAR. EXHIBITS IN VARIOUS SECTIONS. Entries for next week’s Wairarapa Show are well maintained, the total being 2667, as compared with 2920 last year. Details are:— 1940 1939

Pig breeders have come forward well with their entries and entries this year exceed those of last year, all breeds being represented with very strong competition in the porker and bacon classes. In the Dorset Horn sheep sections three exhibitors will each have full teams competing. These sheep are sure to be the centre of great interest, as they are a comparatively new breed in New Zealand and are gaining rapidly in popularity. The first of the show stock arrived from Hawke’s Bay on Friday.
