SWISS SKATERS

AT CARTERTON SHOW.

One of the great attractions at the Carterton Show will be the St. Moritz Skaters, who perform miraculous feat? C’n skates. Nothing before _ on such a grand scale has been witnessed in Carterton, and no visitor to the show -.-should fail to see this exhibition of perfect poise and complete mastery of the body. A.s an introduction Elso and Dolores, brilliant Swiss skaterinas, perform on skates a military dance, and also in a most artistic manner, take the salute in correct soldierly fashion. They are making their first appearance in Carterton and add greatly to the entertainment, which is led by Edmund Corthesy and Verra Paravicini. These last two named skaters perform wonders on wheels, their graceful movements in their lifts, swings, whirls and pirouettes being perfectly executed with little effort. Every movement is a delight to the eye, and although these difficult feats are the result of years of practice, the element of accident risk is ever present. These skaters, in fact, defy death at every turn, and thrill after thrill is presented to the large ‘audiences. Intending patrons are reminded that sessions take place halfhourly, commencing at the hour and half-hour each day from 11 a.m.
