TONE OF APOLOGY

There is an undercurrent of apology in the Italian papers for the few Italian successes. “Il Tevere,” however, says: “Recent events on the Egyptian frontier prove that Marshal Graziani has prepared our machine with rigorous care and the resumption of the offensive is imminent.” ROME REPORT (Received This Day, Noon.) LONDON. October 25. An Italian communique claims that “advanced columns put the enemy to flight eastwards of Sidi Barrani. Enemy planes raided Tobruk, Benghazi, Azoto, Kassala, Dccamere, Asmara and Elgabo.”
