UTILITY WAGONS
GIFT FROM UNITED STATES. INSPECTED BY THE QUEEN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, October 24. The Queen, as president of the Women’s Voluntary Services, today walked down a line of 24 utility wagons drawn up in the inner quadrangle of Buckingham Palace. She accepted them as a gift to W.V.S. from the American Red Cross.
They will be used for conveying food and clothing to areas where distress is caused by raids.
