SHOW PROSPECTS GOOD
SEASONAL CONDITIONS FAVOURABLE President Acknowledges Ready Public Assistance MANY ASSURANCES OF CONTINUED SUPPORT “Indications are that the Carterton Show will be an outstanding success in spite of the uncertain world conditions that prevail,” states Air -J. A. McLeod, president of the Wairarapa and East Coast J’, and A. Society. “Particularly gratifying has been the i-espon.se to the special appeal made to help the society through these difficult times. It is satisfactory indeed to find that quite a few of our supporters from outside districts intend to exhibit despite the fact that transport is difficult. “Seasonal conditions in the Wairarapa generally have been favourable and local stock will undoubtedly come forward in excellent condition. .1 should like to express my admiration of the way that both local and outside supporters of the show have shown their generosity by donations when many demands are being made on them today. “1 think I can safely assure the public who have supported our fixture in. the past, that this year’s exhibits and programmes - will more than compensate them for the effort I realise will be necessary to find the time and transport to attend the show. “Improvements have been carried out for the convenience and comfort of patrons attending the show and. complete arrangements are being made to ensure that the very best attention will be given to live Stockland to their attendants.”
