ITALIAN ADMISSIONS
LOSS OF DESTROYER ALLEGATION THAT SHIP WAS SCUTTLED. CASUALTIES IN AIR RAIDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.20 p.m.) LONDON, October 24. An Italian communique admits the loss of the destroyer Frances ConulJo, but says she was scuttled and that her captain, after seeing that his crew was safe, went down with his ship. It refers to the British attack against Italian positions eastward and southward of Sidi Barrani and claims that “the enemy was repulsed with the loss of some prisoners and equipment.” In British air raids, six persons were wounded at Massawa, two were killed and one wounded at Bahardar, nine wounded at Tessenic, and one killed and six wounded at Gondar.
